Tuesday 15th October
I
had known for a few days that I was getting more and more tired and that what I
needed was a rest day. Instead of waiting until I collapsed, I planned it this
time!
I
stayed in bed until close to midday – a mixture of dozing and just resting. (I
can’t say that I have slept well for any night on this cruise, as there is too
much noise outside my door from about 7am onwards.) After a quick shower I went
upstairs for some brunch and then wandered down to see what was happening in
the salsa lesson. I danced the last ten minutes of the lesson with Ray and then
went straight back down to my room.
The
sun was shining and I sat on my balcony with my feet up on another chair. It
was a wonderful way to spend a few hours until it was time to go upstairs and
grab a couple of cakes for afternoon tea.
By
then the afternoon was a bit cooler and I decided it was time to go to bed. I
dozed for the first hour and then just lay resting for another couple of hours,
until getting up at 6:45 for dinner at the buffet and then preparation for the
second dancing session.
It
was a well-needed time and stood me in good stead for the last 9 days of the
cruise.
