Drama on the dance floor

Wednesday 9^th October

Shortly after 11pm I was dancing the Viennese Waltz with Martin. Generally only 2 or 3 couples get up for this, and most drop out halfway through because it is so demanding. Martin and I kept going right to the last bar, when the heel of my right foot caught in the toe of my left foot and I fell flat on the floor. Martin could not stop me falling but he kept hold of my hand and eased my fall so that I almost bounced. I am told he then had to jump over me to regain his own balance! I was worried in case he had damaged his back, but both of us were fine and were dancing again within five minutes.
